The Village of Corrales is seeking an engineering firm to work under the direction of the Public Works to plan, design and engineer a waste water system and by-pass for existing STEP system. The new system will utilize gravity and grinder pumps. The new lines will be on Village owned property and or in easements granted for waste water lines on the Loma Larga side of Corrales, the system will need to tie in and operate with the current STEP system on the Corrales Road side. The engineering firm will need to calculate needed pipe diameter and plan for residential line connection. The engineer will be responsible for all design and engineering necessary to complete construction of the waste water line and connection of the by-pass to existing lines based on mapping. The engineer will develop and provide a bid document for use by he Village of Corrales to issue and RFP. The construction will be phased as funding allows and each phase must be fully operational to the endpoint. There will be a MANDATORY pre-proposal meeting Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Corrales Council Chambers 4324 Corrales Road, Corrales, NM 87048. The Offeror must make a good faith effort to solicit and hire Disadvantaged Business subcontractors and suppliers to meet the goals outlined in EPA XP-215. A good faith effort requires that the Offeror: 1) Complete the affirmative steps outlined in XP-215, 2) Submit XP-215 with the proposal, 3) Submit with the proposal proof that affirmative steps have been taken and this should include copies of advertisements and letters of solicitation. A Proposal that omits XP-215 or does not support that a good faith effort was made will be considered non-responsive and the Proposal rejected.
