Corrales Siphon Work (MRGCD)

August 28, 2020 - The Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) will be starting work at the Corrales Siphon starting in September. High flows have exposed the siphon and the rock weir requires extension. Siphon road will be closed during construction. The resulting work will likely have an impact to boater safety at lower flows requiring boaters to either take out at Siphon Road or portage around if they plan to float to Alameda Bridge. Siphon road will have limited access for boaters taking out at the siphon.  MRGCD will grade a trail on the west side to help folks with the portage requirement and will provide warning sign(s) upriver. The work is scheduled to take three weeks.
