We hope that everyone had a peaceful Martin Luther King Day.

At about 8:00AM on Wed. 01/10 a subject who was stopped for speeding (51 mph in a 30 mph zone) on Loma Larga near Olguin RD was found to have an outstanding Rio Rancho Municipal Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear regarding a Stop Sign violation. The 59-year-old Corrales resident was cited for speeding and not having his drivers license in his possession, then booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center on the outstanding warrant.

On Sun. 01/14 a 19-year-old male resident reported transferring funds to prevent compromising photos of himself from being disseminated via social media. Sextortion can impact both juveniles and adults. Be sure to warn your children about these crimes and instruct them not to take or share sensitive photos of themselves.
