--On Mon. 02/12 a report was filed concerning a vehicle being broken into on the 600 block of Coronado RD (between 10:00AM and 12:00PM on that date) and a purse, wallet, keys and checks being stolen from within. Remember not to leave valuables in unattended vehicles.

--On Tue. 02/13 a resident of Mikaela RD reported that one of the windows on his vehicle had been shattered while the car was parked in his driveway during the night of Sat. 02/10.

--At about 9:00AM on Sun. 02/18 CPD attempted to stop a reckless driver on the 4300 block of Corrales RD., who fled and ultimately entered a home on Tierra Encantada through an apparently unlocked side garage door, opened the bay door, pulled his car in and barricaded himself inside. The homeowner called Dispatch, Officers arrived in about a minute, got the resident out and established a perimeter around the property with the assistance of RRPD and SCSO. After the suspect refused to exit the residence for approximately an hour and a half, Officers entered the home and, with the assistance of an SCSO canine, were able to take the 35-year-old Edgewood man into custody. The suspect was booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center and is facing charges of Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer, Aggravated Residential Burglary, Tampering with Evidence, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Display of Registration Plate and No Proof of Insurance.
